Ghazal Ranjkesh

Zoha, 25, from Isfahan

Niloufar Aghaii

Niloufar Aghaii, midwife, was shot in the eye in October during the doctors’ protest in Tehran outside the Medical Organisation building. Nevertheless, she spreads hope by continuing with her duties and smiling.

Raheleh Amiri

“Today someone asked me: Was it worth it? I said: Yes, absolutely.”

Raheleh Amiri, a psychologist, lost sight of her right eye during the nationwide protests about a month and a half ago when security forces fired directly at her eye. She wrote in a story dated January 17: “Today someone asked me: Was it worth it? I said: Yes, absolutely.”
